Annas Tøser

Going abroad and becoming part of a local host family is a unique opportunity to experience a new culture from the inside.

It is a chance to explore the world, grow personally, and gain independence — while creating memories that stay with you for life.

As an au pair, you become part of a family’s daily life and contribute by supporting with childcare and everyday routines. In return, the family invests in you and welcomes you into their home for a period of 12–24 months.

This is not just a trip — it is an experience that requires responsibility, commitment, and openness.

Freja – Au Pair in San Diego, USA

"The weather in San Diego is amazing and something you truly get to enjoy every day. With around 250 days of sunshine a year, there is plenty of time for outdoor activities.

One of the things I have especially fallen in love with is hiking. There are so many incredible places to explore – from Torrey Pines and Potato Chip Rock to trips to Death Valley and even Hawaii.

I also meet up with other au pairs regularly, which is a great way to connect with people who are in the same situation. It quickly turns into new friendships and shared experiences.

Being an au pair in the USA has been such a rewarding experience. You become part of a host family, learn their traditions, and at the same time share your own culture. It truly feels like getting the best of both worlds.

I have created memories and experiences that I would never have had back home in Denmark."

Victoria – Au Pair in Australia

"I am having a fantastic time as an au pair in Australia. I have experienced everything from art exhibitions and one of the most beautiful libraries I have ever seen, to an Australian rules football match and the Outback, where I have seen kangaroos and even learned how to harvest cotton.

Beyond all these experiences, I have made friends for life and become part of an amazing host family.

This journey has been absolutely unforgettable, and I can truly recommend traveling the world as an au pair."

Rikke – Au Pair in the Rocky Mountains, Canada

"I had an amazing experience as an au pair in Canada. I lived in the Rocky Mountains, surrounded by incredible nature, and became part of a wonderful host family.

During my stay, I had the opportunity to go hiking, kayaking, and truly experience the Canadian outdoors.

I also improved my English significantly and made friendships that I will carry with me for life.

Whenever I needed support, Karina from Aupairagent was always available, which made me feel safe even being far away from home.

It has truly been an experience of a lifetime."
